This page explains how to ask Wayline Media Ltd about personal data we hold about you, how to correct or delete it, and what to expect once you have got in touch.
Who we are
Wayline Media Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (registered office: 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE). We provide e-commerce and advertising management services, including apps that help TikTok Shop sellers and Amazon advertisers manage their analytics, advertising, products, and promotions. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.
Whose data we hold
We hold personal data about our clients and the people who work with them (for example, contact details, billing information, and correspondence), people who contact us, and visitors to our website.
Through our TikTok Shop and Amazon Ads apps, we access our clients’ shop and advertising data on their behalf. We do not request or store personal data about TikTok Shop or Amazon shoppers, such as names, delivery addresses, or order contact details. If you are a shopper with a question about an order, please contact the seller you bought from, or TikTok Shop or Amazon directly. If you contact us anyway, we will tell you that we don’t hold your data and point you to the right place.
What you can ask us to do
Under the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:
- Right of access. Get a copy of the personal data we hold about you, plus information about how we use it.
- Right to rectification. Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Right to erasure. Have your data deleted (the so-called “right to be forgotten”), subject to limited exceptions.
- Right to restriction. Ask us to pause processing of your data while a question is resolved.
- Right to portability. Get your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to object. Object to processing carried out under our legitimate interests, including any direct marketing.
- Right to withdraw consent, where consent is the basis we relied on for processing.
- Right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at any time. You don’t have to come to us first, but we’d appreciate the chance to put things right. The ICO contact page is at https://ico.org.uk/concerns.
How to make a request
Email us at ben@waylinemedia.com with:
- The right you’d like to exercise (access, deletion, correction, etc.).
- Enough information for us to identify you, for example, the email address you have used to contact us or the client account the request relates to.
- If you’re acting on behalf of someone else, written authorisation from them.
We don’t ask for copies of your passport or government identification unless we have a specific reason to need them. If your request involves data we hold about a child, we may need additional verification.
What happens next
We will:
- Acknowledge your request within five working days.
- Confirm your identity before disclosing or changing anything.
- Substantively respond within thirty calendar days.
- If your request is unusually complex or part of a series of requests, we may extend by a further two months. If we do, we’ll tell you within the original thirty days and explain why.
- If we can’t help (for example, if it turns out we don’t actually hold any data about you), we’ll tell you that, and we’ll explain how you can contact whoever does, where we know.
When we may need to refuse
The law lets us refuse a request, or charge a reasonable fee, if it is “manifestly unfounded or excessive” (for example, the same request repeatedly with no new information). If we ever refuse, we will say so in writing within thirty days, explain why, and remind you of your right to complain to the ICO.
How we handle your request behind the scenes
If you are a client asking about your own account, billing, or contact data, we will action your request directly. Where we hold data on a client’s behalf, we will let the client know and help them respond.
In every case, we record your request in our internal log so we can demonstrate that we have responded properly. Our Internal Personal Data Protection Policy and Data Subject Request Process govern how this works.
